BLUEBOTTLE COFFEE BAR (NY)

Oakland’s Blue Bottle made a move into New York earlier this year, bringing with it a bunch of toys to keep the Williamsburg hipster set happy. They do great cold filter (the perfect antidote to 30° days), along with regular espresso based drinks, and a selection of pour overs. A mix of clinical and warehouse (but needs more seats!), Blue Bottle has some cute touches like the recycling bins, a self service clean up and my favourite – the giant graffiti squirrel on the outside wall.

EL BEIT

Situated right slap-bang in the middle of Bedford Ave, you’d imagine this place might be painfully cool, but free wi-fi (password from the counter), a Clover, a choice of a several blends and single origins, a backyard and a streetside bench make El Beit a staple if you’re a local.
